I’ve heard a lot of people tell me that they “can’t” exercise. Yet, these same people can walk everywhere they go. The great news is that walking is exercise! I lost my first 40lbs. With my only exercise being walking.

I started with only half a mile and each week, I would push myself a little farther – the next mailbox, sign, or road. By going just a short distance farther each week, I was able to walk over 7 miles in just a few months. I didn’t do anything fancy or complicated. I took the same path each week and just made an improvement a few feet at a time.

During my walks, I also got to walk closer to the Lord. I thanked Him for my blessings, for the ability to walk, for His love, for my salvation, for my children that would sometimes walk with me as well.
